Lukáš Jabůrek

A Czech glass designer and glass artist who laid the groundwork of his skills at the Higher Vocational School of Glass and Applied Arts in Nový Bor. Between 2013 and 2018 he was the artistic director of the renowned Moser glass factory, his works made there are still the factory’s most sought-after products. He has won numerous awards, including the Public Award of the prestigious Czech Grand Design in 2012. He creates his ground, faceted, blown, polished and often multi-layered glass works – vases, serving bowls, awards, small sculptures, candle jars – with precision, meticulousness and refinement. In addition to traditional materials – uranium glass (glass coloured with uranium oxide) and rosaline glass – he uses colours boldly and likes to combine various grinding techniques.
